Of course, there are plenty of KFC locations all over Japan. There’s something called the “Tori no Hi Pack(Chicken Day Pack)” at KFC in Japan. They used to offer 5 pieces of chicken and 5 nuggets for 1,000 yen. But the price went up―now it’s 1,100 yen for 5 pieces of chicken. Still, it’s 450 yen off the regular price. You can get the “Tori no Hi Pack” only on the 28th of each month. They chose the 28th because in Japanese, 2 is “ni” and 8 is “wa,” which together sound like “niwatori” ― the word for chicken.
I’ve set my phone to send me a notification on the 28th of every month. When dinner’s not decided, I usually go grab some KFC.
